Actions Speak Louder Than Words

This is my personal truth.

The epidemic of mediocrity has turned the majority of society into big fat liars!

From birth we get taught to say things like we desire to be successful and rich and live wonderful lives and travel the world and drive nice cars and have sexy bodies and hang out with the coolest people.  On the flip-side we are taught to read gossip magazines and watch endless amounts of television and lock ourselves up in our homes for security and drive shitty cars because that is all we can afford and eat junk food and get drunk with idiots because we will think we are cool.  Our money is used for drugs and alcohol to numb the pain instead of personal development and coaches which will enhance our awareness and sharpen our creative powers.

The children who are prepared to put in the time and effort to work at their chosen crafts get dubbed nerds and are pushed aside and made fun of.  The adults who get up at 5 am to do their mind-set work and train their bodies, who are prepared to say no to the parties because they choose to work towards their goals are called boring and pretty much pushed aside and made fun of by their so called friends at the drunken parties.

Of course none of this is in our control.  We are simply the products of our environment where we don’t have the same opportunities as others, and there is not enough time during the day to do all the important things, and there is never enough money to invest in ourselves because we have to first look after everyone else.  Poor us.  The eternal victims of a fucked-up society.  Or so you tell yourself.

The way I see it you have one of two options in life:

  1. Stop lying to yourself and others.  If you are satisfied with just having enough, with fitting in, with being the same as everyone else, then just say so.  Say ‘No thank you, I don’t want to be a millionaire and travel the world because I want to sleep late.  Sleep is very important to me and I’m very grumpy without it.  I want to go out with my friends any time I feel like it because that makes me happy.  I want to watch hours and hours of television because I enjoy doing that and I don’t want to read a book.’  Say ‘No thank you, I don’t want a strong healthy body because I love eating junk food and I don’t give a rat’s ass if I’ll never reach my toes because this is how I want to live, it’s my choice so fuck off’.’  Not only is this true but you get to take complete responsibility for your life and the results that you see reflected every day; or
  2. Stop fucking around.  If you are a driven individual who truly want to be successful in your health, life and business then you need to start taking continuous, relentless action each and every day.  You need to stop drinking and eating junk food because you need your body to be an energetic machine that can keep up with the demands of a high-powered life.  You need to get up at 5 am and do your mind-set work every single day.  You need to train your body so that you can be powerful and feel more confident.  You have to read the books that will stimulate and inspire you.  You need to invest in your personal development ensuring that you always have the people on your side who will push you to succeed.  You have to be prepared to sacrifice a little sleep here and there, time with friends here and there, chocolate cake here and there.  No, you don’t have to become a martyr!  You have to do what needs to be done so that you can do what you desire to do.  Top performers don’t burn out either so before you use that excuse, sign up with a fucking coach who can guide you on how to have your cake and eat it darling.  There’s simply no place for excuses in this level of living.

There is a reason why the saying goes ‘talk is cheap’.  It really is.  More importantly, the results you will get from talking is cheap as well.  No idea can be turned into brilliance without action.  No amount of visualization will get results without action.

I honestly don’t have judgement either way.  People must live the way they choose to live.  I do have judgement around the constant bullshit that people spew out without ever taking themselves seriously.  It is a waste of time – theirs and those they are always trying to convince that they really do want it all when they don’t have any desire whatsoever to have it.

If you don’t know whether you truly want it or not, record your actions for a week and you will have your answer.  If you are sleeping late, eating junk, watching TV, hanging out with your friends, using drugs to feel better, then you want to live an average life.  Embrace it.

If you are up early, doing what it takes and not giving a shit about people calling you boring, then you have a hunger for success.  Keep going Darling.  Ask yourself what else you can do to get yourself closer to your dreams.  Surround yourself with those who are prepared to take massive amounts of action.  Because you are a powerful creator and the world is yours for the taking.

Whatever you do – please stop telling me and start showing me!

Death is inevitable.  Truly living is a choice.

Walk with honor.
